Not too sure how I should rate this. Wasn't my favorite, but I don't have the palate to really describe in full what I was experiencing. i enjoyed the mild flavor of the cigar, though it was a bit large for me. Probably wouldn't buy again till a later date because I have a few more to go through.
Overall:
Mild flavor, a bit more woody than I prefer, and a bit too large for my liking.
***Further Research Required.***

| 91 | Macanudo - Vintage 2000 Lonsdale - II (Glass Tube) - 6 1/2 x 43 - Colorado Maduro
Very tightly rolled, few veins, pleasant but very mild smell.
Almost no flavor but occasional whiffs of a smoky nutty smell.
Easy to light but burned quite unevenly. Required frequent touch-ups. Moderate amount of smoke. Almost no after taste.
For a $15.50 cigar I suppose I expected a lot more. It was a very nice smoke and I enjoyed it a lot, but for $15.50, I don’t feel it quite rose to the price.
Price, no real flavor and uneven burn is where it got the deductions. No aftertaste or nicotine buzz really made me want to get more of these cigars, but the price is not justifiable to me.

*Torpedo*
-Prelight-
This cigar is very oily in appearance with a firm feel and a good weight. The wrapper is pretty nice with one medium sized vein making it's way along the length of the cigar. It is a but lumpy looking, but not anything major. Taking a good whiff of the foot was very spicy, in fact I sneezed a few times, it was nice.
*Having a 12 year Macallan with it.*
-=1/3=-
About a inch and 15 mintues in and it's been all spice until just now I tasted some licorice and it was a bit mellower.
-=2/3=-
Right off the bat I get another hint of licorice off the tail end of a draw exhaled through my nose. Most of the pepper blast has faded now and I am getting more of a spice like herbal maybe, I've always had a difficult time describing this aroma but I think it's what some people call earthy. No more licorice yet, dangit... Nice and creamy spicy with some plenty of full bodied punch. I have a bit of a buzz off this smoke, or it could just be that I live in Texas and it's like 90 degrees in my garage. Also having a bit of a hard time keeping it lit in this 90% humidity. Ash is pretty firm dropping off about 1" 1/2 in.

| 85 | Graycliff - 1666 Toro - PGX - 6 x 50 - Maduro
I have smoked plenty of these sticks now and overall I'm pretty disappointed with the sticks. I think mainly I am disappointed by the hype associated with the namesake of Graycliff. These Sticks have a decent amount of coffee/espresso notes, but very one dimensional. I have not had any burn problems with any of them however the draw has been pretty wide open which I dislike, and the ash is pretty girly and generally doesn't last more than an inch at a time. by goathahalol on 6/26/2009 7:15 PM (7 rated) |

This is actually a Maduro Nub but I added it as the habano due to the missing Maduro from the list.
This was an absolutely wonderful smoke. I have tried all of the other varieties of Nub and found them all to be very lacking in the flavor department. Construction is top notch , burn and draw fantastic, and flavor was loads of coffee and sweet creaminess. by goathahalol on 6/26/2009 7:08 PM (1 rated) |

| 55 | CAO - L’Anniversaire Maduro Torpedo - Belicoso - 6 x 54 - Maduro
Great smelling cigar and while I normally do not like Maduros, I had high hopes on this one since I really loved the NUB maduro.
First of all it lit easily but the draw was almost like pulling on a garden hose. I had clipped it close to the head but still, the draw was way too easy. The ash started falling off immediately. The flavor was, as with most other maduros I've tried, too strong for me. If I quit puffing it went out quickly and burned very unevenly. I had to relight several times which is something I normally do not do. When a cigar goes out I normally toss it, but this thing went out if not puffed on for only a minute. As I smoked it a hollow developed in the center for the first inch and a half of the cigar. When it was burning there was a good amount of smoke but by the time you finished a sentence, the thing was out again. After fighting it for forty-five minutes, multiple relights, and several burns to even it up, I tossed it with only about 2/3 of it smoked. It was more trouble than it was worth. Toward the end the head end was getting spongy and starting to unravel.
I was very disappointed in this cigar because it was a beautifully wrapped stick with a terrific smell. by BigBore on 6/4/2009 6:07 PM (1 rated) |

Strong smell and tightly rolled with a few veins. Dark in color.
Flavor too strong for me. Earthy flavor but strong.
Easy lighting and even burn. Lots of smoke but a fairly strong nicotine buzz considering this is a small cigar and only a 30 minute smoke.
Too strong for me and while if you like a small and strong cigar you would love this but I won't be trying a second.

This cigar is dark chocolate color, full bodied and sweet. It has a sweet strong scent to it that I cant depict what it is. Nice thick and creamy smoke. Burned slow and very even. | 98 | Oliva - Reserve Connecticut Robusto - 5 x 50 - 5 x 50 - Natural
This smoke is very similar to the Connecticut NUB except the ash will fall if allowed to get too long.
The smoke was heavy, flavor was mild with no nicotine buzz. Tightly rolled with a few veins. It was easy to light and burned evenly all the way down. The only deduction was the ash had to be kept short or it would fall on its own. by BigBore on 4/19/2009 4:26 PM (1 rated) |

Very good smoke and almost the equal to the NUB. Very nicely rolled with a few veins. Gives off a good amount of smoke but not as much as a Connecticut Nub and the ash will fall if not watched, but does not fall easily. It gave no nicotine buzz and had no long lingering aftertaste. Slight earthy smell and flavor but not objectionable at all. Quite an enjoyable smoke all in all. by BigBore on 4/19/2009 4:20 PM (1 rated) |

Decent smoke for a $1.25. Wrapper is dark with many veins, wrapper is tight but ash falls easily. Moderate amount of smoke and gives mild nicotine buzz which I don't care for. This is a good cigar to offer your visitors who will want to smoke with you but do not smoke cigars regularly or smoke machine rolled drug store quality cigars. I hate to be greedy or snobbish but why waste a $5 cigar on what really amounts to a non-smoker. by BigBore on 4/19/2009 4:17 PM (2 rated) |

Very nice wrapper, full body smell, veins present but rolled in a very distinctive pattern. Flavor was indefinable and smoke was on the light side. No nicotine buzz and while strong smelling, it is very mild. Burn was even, easy to light but ash fell too easily. It was a nice enjoyable smoke but I do not like the ash falling so easily and the paucity of smoke is what caused me to rate it lower.

I haven't had a Nub in a while. Construction looked great and smelled nice. Lit it up and took about 2 minutes before the taste started coming in. Very simple favor which is what I was in the mood for at the time with my Heinkien. About half way in the wrapper started to come off just slightly and I believe I hit a knot because twice in the same spot it did with 3 minutes of relighting. Besides that the cigar was great. by DBenitez on 3/24/2009 2:02 PM (1 rated) |

The best when it comes to a mild-medium smoke. I normally don't smoke many cigars under the medium-full strength but this is one I prefer to smoke. Nice light shade wrapper with great aromas of Spanish cedar. Draw was a little hard but the smoke was flawless. Rolled off the tongue like a dream and the retro hale was even better. | 86 | 5 Vegas - Miami Shorty - Knuckle - 4 1/2 x 60 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-Light---Nicely rolled cigar that really looks like it is to be an awesome smoke. Very short and compact cigar. Very small veins and the feel were some what tight. I snipped it and noted a slight tingling to the tip of the tongue. Pre- draw had a bit of coca and cedar. The draw was clean and clear also. After I toasted the foot and my first puff seemed to be taste of tobacco and cedar. Really nice smoke coming off as well.
Taste-- The taste of spice was very present and the hints of coca present. All threw the cigar was a nice flow of cocoa, cedar and hints of leather were present. The ash held very well and the color was mixed with both light and dark gray marbling. I would rate this as a good cigar that was medium to full at times. Very good cigar for the price.

| 96 | Ashton - VSG Robusto - Robusto - 5 1/2 x 50 -
Pre-Light---The look of the cigar was a nice dark brown wrapper and a very nicely rolled cigar. The band looked nice with the wrapper. No prominent veins but did have a few smaller ones. The feel was tight and the smell of the wrapper was of cedar and tobacco and I knew would pair very well with my morning cup of coffee. I cut the head of at the shoulders and the pre-draw was of spice and tobacco and was clean.
Taste—I heated the foot and gave it a good toasting and my first taste were spicy and leathery. Man what a very good smoke this is starting out to be. I let the heat settle and took a few more draws and everyone was better than the one before. I really like this cigar. After I reached the half way mark the intense coffee and leather started. A great cigar so far. No burn issues also. I finished this to the nub and wanted more. The price was a bit more than what I would expect to pay but would do it again. This is one of the better cigars in my book. From the look, taste and over all review of it was stellar. I would enjoy having a box sit for a couple of years.

| 94 | CAO - America Giant - Anthem - 8 1/2 x 50 - dual wapper
Pre-Light--The appearance is a stellar one with the nice Barbie pole look and the very clean wrapper. These are no longer in production and if you can find them they will cost you. The size of this cigar is one that will take a minute to finish, so plan this one out so you can enjoy and not rush to judgment. The band is very patriotic. The smell of slight tobacco and sweet aroma were very exciting and could not wait to give it a taste. I snipped the cap, very clean cut and the draw was flawless. The flavors were nutty at the pre-draw.
Taste----I toasted the foot real good and took my first draw and got a sweet tobacco and slight nutty flavor. The spice and a coffee background was noticed after a few draws and was starting to like it. After the half way mark there were pleasant leathery and now roasted nuts that got my senses going. I could also note some peppery taste coming out at over 2/3 in and knew this would be great if it continued. I had a few areas of concern as the burn was not perfect but did get back on track. The finish was a little bitter with some more leathery taste. The heat was not bad and the flavors are what I like. I only have a couple left and think after a couple years these smokes should be just fine.

| 85 | Graycliff - 1666 Toro - PGX - 6 x 50 - Maduro
Pre-Smoke---This was a nice looking cigar that was very dark in color. Had a vein that was prominent and do not fore see any problems. I noticed a nice tobacco smell and went in for the head cut. The cut was clean and draw was perfect, with a slight resistance.
Taste---Earthy taste on the draw and started to heat it up. It was lit very well and let it sit as I always do after I torch it. It stated with a sweet tobacco taste that stated some nice spicy flavors coming in behind it. Plenty of smoke. About the ½ way mark I noticed a small flavor change of some coffee and started to get bitter and hot. The burn was off and running as I had to make some corrections to keep it on track. I was not a happy smoker at this point. I let it rest a bit in hopes that it would lose the bitterness. The ash was not looking to well. It finally straightens up but the flavors really stayed the same, Earthy, Sweet, coffee and bitter. I was not very pleased with this smoke as I was with the Crystal Pirates (I Think). That said it was OK but for the price there are many better.

| 98 | Ramon Allones - Specially Selected Parejos - Robusto - 4 7/8 x 50 - Natural
A quick pre-light draw gives off a lightly sweet tobacco taste with a hint of leather. It took a minute for a good light but that may be due to the setup of my cc humi. I need to remember to transfer what I am going to smoke at least a week before I enjoy it. As always, a RASS puts out an ample amount of smoke. Immediatley I notice a leathery taste with a slight hint of pepper. An outstanding blend for the palate. Around the second third I noticed the pepper got stronger and a chocolate note appeared. These are the same flavors I found right out of the box, but they have now blended wonderfully and are more refined. The flavors grew stronger by the final third and lasted until I couldn't hold the tiny nub any longer. These are one of my favorites - and for good reason. If you have have never smoked a RASS do yourself a favor and try one. You will be hooked and looking for more before you nub it.

| 88 | Montecristo - Peruvian Square Pressed Corona Extra - Buena Fortuna - 5 x 47 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-Smoke---This has got to be one of my favorite little smokes after they have plenty of resting time in the box. The longer they sleep the better they get. The look is a very nice looking wrapper and very tightly rolled also. The smell was of cedar. I snipped the head and the pre draw was very nice. The taste of some woodsy notes and spice were present in the pre-draw. The taste of some cedar and pepper were tingling my tongue after the cap was cut. A very clean cut also.
Taste—I get some cedar, spice and slight pepper from the start that mellowed a bit until the half way mark. It started to pick up a bit and some nutty flavors in the taste. This was constant till the end of the smoke. Plenty of smoke and the taste were what I like. I’m sure there are some smokes available at this price that are a bit better but have been a fan of these little guys’s for years. If you’ve not tried one, give it a whirl and see if you think the same as I do.

| 85 | Carlos Toraño - Virtuoso Torpedo - Crescendo - 6 1/2 x 54 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-Light---This smoke looks very nice with a Nice Brown wrapper that had one prominent vein running on one side opposite the Torano wrapper. There was a slight sheen to the wrapper also. The roll was great and had a tight feel. I cut the cap and the draw was very good.
Taste--The draw gave me hints of wood. From the start this is appearing to be a medium smoke that is light with taste of a creamy, woodsy start. This was pretty much all I was getting through the entire cigar until I got to the last third that I picked out some peppery spice, but not that intense smooth and creamy like the cigar is.. The ash and burn were very nice and had no problems. Over all this was a nice smoke that would be great at any time of the day.

| 85 | 601 - Black Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Claro
I am a fan of this line just from their appearance. The black was not as nice a look as the Red but was still a compact, nice looking cigar.I'm a fan of the Habano wrapper that are on the reds. The wrapper had a little oily sheen to it. It has a great looking cocoa like wrapper. I cut the cap and had a peppery or tingling to the tip of the tongue. It cut very clean and the scent from the foot was of wood and cedar. The pre-draw was slightly restricted and hope after it is lit that would free up. After the torch it really was a nice morning smoke with a cup of coffee. It was spicy and full of smoke. The flavor was intense at the half way mark that picked up as a full bodied cigar with the combination of spice, slight leather and cocoa that is present at the last third of the smoke. No problem with the lighting and the burn was great. I take my time with cigars with this flavor profile so as not to get any harsh taste. I recommend trying this. The pepper, spice is really good. I like this cigar but I am more of a fan of the Reds. I would also recommend this be smoked on a full stomach also. by tobacmon on 3/1/2009 10:15 AM (2 rated) |

| 90 | Padilla - Hybrid Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-Smoke---The wrapper looks very clean with a few veins present. The light brown color was even. The roll and tight wrapper was very good. The smell of earth and tobacco was present and the foot has a slight woodsy and cedar smell. The ban was clean and looked great on this cigar also.
Taste—cut the cap and a very clean cut that gave off a taste of tobacco on the tip of my tongue. The draw is very good and clear with a very slight tug from it. The earthy and cedar taste were present before lighting. I lit the cigar in the same manner as I do with all and was perfect. My first taste was of slight cedar and earth. It had sweetness to it but was not as noticeable as the leather and woodsy taste after the half way mark. It was a great ash that was light grey. It held on nicely almost to the ½ way mark also. The strength started as a mild/medium smoke that picked up to a full cigar over all. Very good in strength, draw, taste and burn. Overall I would rate this as a good cigar and would recommend to people just stating out and for the well seasoned as a nice relaxing smoke.

I was gifted a whole box of these smokes and must say thank you to the one and only BigFoot aka 9.5. for the awesome gift----Thank You Brian.
This cigar really is a master piece and a work of art when it comes to what a cigar should look like. The wrapper was a very dark chocolate sweet looking wrapper. On to the cigar---I have many of these smokes and from one to the next are perfect in every way. One of the largest torpedo’s and one the the best draws, burns and tasting smokes there is. The price is a bit pricey and if they were to have a drop in price they would move like wilder beast in Africa under attack by a cheetah. Wrapper was oily, tightly rolled and stellar. I always get more flavors form one to the next but stay within the same flavor profile. After the snipping of the head I torch er up to get some taste of spice and leather. Very Mild to start and the smoke is just right. After a few more draws I start to get some coffee and cocoa that really pick up the intensity of the cigar. This was constant and near the last third there was an overwhelming taste of pepper, leather and cocoa that rounded this bad boy very nice at the end. Can’t get enough of these.

The appearance of the wrapper was of dark chocolate and a very prominent vein. The smell of coffee I noticed while inspecting the smoke. It clipped very nice and tasted a slight tingling in the tongue with taste of black pepper. The draw was slightly restricted and the taste was of coffee and spice was great. As I torched this cigar I can tell the scent of coffee and a woodsy / earthy smell. It was a mild to medium cigar threw the first ½ and enjoyed the feeling I got off of this smoke. As I entered the ½ way mark it really picked up very nice with some peppery, spiciness that was awesome. With the wrapper burning straight as an arrow I was very impressed with how this was going, very good taste. I have to say that the cigar performed as I expected from the look. It was a Med. to Full cigar with some peppery, spicy and earthy taste. The cigar was a more than adequate smoke and it taste very good. This along with many of the CAO line is in my normal rotation and I like to see them mature with age. I also would rate this as a Great Cigar. by tobacmon on 2/28/2009 8:52 AM (5 rated) |

Presmoke—The wrapper looked aged well and kind of rustic if you will. Had a little shaggy foot that looks like will help light this thing well. The smell was of cedar. The color was constant also. I snipped the cap and was a very nice clean cut. The draw was of again cedar and some tobacco taste. Slight tingling to the tip of the tongue that got my senses going. It was a very nice draw and the feel was just a little loose. Nothing bad, all good.
Taste---After the light the first taste of cedar and some nice tobacco flavors to start. After smoking for about a 30 minute period the taste of pepper and spice pick up and tons of smoke to boot. No problems with heat or taste going bad. It was very constant threw and threw. I would say this is a Medium smoke with a nice cedar and spicy smoke. Great with the morning cup of coffee .I have to say for the cost of this cigar it was not bad at all. It was my first and was gifted it to see what my thought where on it. This would be a great cigar to use in a blind review. I have no idea how much humi time this had but need to check and see. As I looked to purchase a few,I read that the wrappers are aged for 5 years .Not a bad cigar.

| 82 | Rocky Patel - ITC 10th Anniversary Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Natural
Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper:
Cedar
Scent at Foot:
Earthy and slight pepper
Appearance:
Not a bad looking smoke
Wrapper:
Very nice brown wrapper with a double band that made it interesting
Feel:
Firm
Tongue:
Earthy, wood & cedar maybe some slight hints of leather
Flavor on Draw:
I tasted a little cocoa maybe some more cedar
Smoke
Taste:
Better than Indian Tobac but was not what I would have expected.
Flavor Changes:
Pretty constant 2/3 through and picked up a bit at the end..
Strength:
I would say a constant medium with sometimes getting a fuller taste
Feeling:
From the look of this and the prelate I was expecting something more powerful and was a bit let down. Was still an O K smoke
Scent of Smoke:
Did not really notice
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
NO
Draw:
Easy and clear draw
Finish:
Half way through I noticed some coffee again and the last 1/3 picked up with the pepper and spice that did not last (very little)
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
From the look and feel I thought I was in for a treat and as I said was not in for a let down .I would recommend this line to someone starting out but not to my seasonal friends.
Make any notes beyond what you noted already
I am very fond of the R P Ole World Reserve and this lie was in no way near that caliber. Though it was an O K smoke it really did not tell me to hurry and get some more. I did enjoy it a bit more than the Torpedo I smoked if that helps.

| 92 | Graycliff - Graycliff Toro - PGX - 6 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
A pre-light draw has a strong sweet chocolate taste, with a hint of something nutty. These all lit easily and had gobs of thick smoke. The chocolate I noticed before I lit it was there from the start. I think the nutty taste that is coming through is actually more like nutmeg than nuts. About a third of the way in I also started picking up a sweet coffee smell and taste. All flavors got stronger as I smoked, and the final third was outstanding. These have aged very well. Pick them up if you see a deal on them and you won't be disappointed. by cybervee on 2/25/2009 8:39 AM (3 rated) |

| 86 | G.A.R. - G.A.R. by George A. Rico Robusto - Robusto Grande - 5 1/2 x 52 - Colorado Maduro
Very nice looking wrapper but did have a few veins that was a concern from the start. I also notice a color difference in the wrapper and wondered why this was. Maybe not enough time to ferment before a rush to get them out or something. The scent of cedar, earth was present after I snipped the cap. The tip of the tongue gave me just a taste of tobacco. The taste after the draw I picked up some earth and wood and a slight sweetness about it. After I lit the cigar and had a few draws there were no draw problems and the taste of pepper started. It went back to the taste of a sweet earthy and woodsy smoke. This was present from start to finish. The burn was a bit off and touched it up a couple of times. The ash was O K but with the burn issues all I could see was it was light grey. I have one more of this blend and will see if anything changes after it has time in the box. It was not a bad cigar but a decent one. I would rate this as a good cigar.

Flavor on draw: Some coffee and woodsy taste.
SMOKE
Flavor: Sweet taste of cocoa and with a slight taste of cedar. It did pick up a bit more intense but not like I would have expected. Very good taste I like it.

| 95 | San Cristobal - San Cristobal Torpedo - Fabuloso - 6 1/8 x 52 - Colorado
PRE-SMOKE
Scent of wrapper: Lots of spice and peppery.
Scent at foot: Cedar and leather.
Wrapper: Very presentable wrapper, great feel and look. Nice sheen to the awesome brown color—not to be alarmed by the very slight veining.
Feel: Very good feel.
Tongue: Tingling and a slight taste of pepper.
Flavor: Cedar, leather and spicy pepper—all of my favorites.
SMOKE
Strength: Now we are talking –this started with allot of pepper and spice form the get go. I also picked up what I think was cocoa but was nothing like the spice/pepper. Nice combination.
Burn: Very nice even burn and the draw was impeccable. The ash held on for dear life and was a solid gray.
Scent of Smoke: Tobacco
Heat on fingers/Mouth: None
Draw: Great.
Finish: This is a full flavored smoke that will keep you interested all the way to the end. Very nice blending and everything about it was great. Do not smoke this on an empty stomach as it will take away all the great aspects of this cigar. Glad I torched this when I did after a full meal. I would rate this as a excellent cigar and would diffidently recommend for anyone to try again on a full stomach.

Pre-Smoke
Scent of Wrapper: Some very nice spice.
Scent at Foot: More of the spice and tobacco smell
Appearance: Some slight veining and nice oily sheen also. Wrapper looked very good.
Feel: Firm feeling and packed at the foot.
Tongue: A slight tingling to the tip of the tongue with a nice after taste.
Flavor on Draw: Woodsy, spicy and tobacco taste all were present. The draw had a bit of a tug but not tight.
Smoke
Taste: A very smooth mild taste of spice that was the same for a minute and was in anticipation of more to come.
Strength: Mild to Medium
Burn was very nice and the burn line was very nice. The ash held together very well also and was a marble look of light gray and dark grey.
Scent of Smoke: Nothing out of the ordinary just smoke to me..
Heat on Fingers and Mouth: No signs of heat and took this to the nub hope I would pick up more flavor changes but would not get there for me.
Finish: Nothing great here and the spice was a level taste through the end. Not great.
Other Aspects of this Cigar: I was not a happy camper on this smoke and from the look I thought I would be in for a treat—disappointed on this one—Sorry!
Just an O K smoke is the best rating I could give.

| 85 | Sol Cubano - Artisan Salomon - Salomon - 7 1/8 x 58 - Triple Wrapper
The Artisan is one of the most beautiful cigars I have seen. A triple wrapped beauty over 7 inches long with the girth to match. It is tightly wrapped with few veins present and the barber pole stripes are even from tip to tip. It is easy lighting, even burning, and produces copious amounts of rich white smoke. I have a hard time tasting flavors that others say they detect but I can say it was strong. The nicotine left my lips tingling and half way through I could hardly stand up straight. I don't like nicotine buzzes and this cigar gave me one of my worst buzzes ever. Two-thirds the way through I cried uncle and chucked the rest of it, and chucking any of a $20 cigar is not something I considered lightly.
Normally I rate cigars that are way too strong for me pretty low since I am not likely to buy them again, but this cigar is such an eye catcher and is rolled so perfectly I had to get another box just to have on hand. In this cigar's case, even though I will likely never smoke another I cannot rate it lower than I have. It is a perfect testimonial to the rollers skill and worthy of any cigar smoker's collection. And if you like strong cigars, this could well be one of your favorites. by BigBore on 2/20/2009 1:39 PM (1 rated) |

| 92 | Tatuaje - Havana VI Torpedo - Aristas - 6 1/8 x 52 - Colorado Maduro
I have had only a few of these maybe a 1/2 box and always enjoy this line. The wrapper and appearance are stellar with only a few small veins.Could not wait to set fire to it. After the snip I noticed a slight tingling of the tongue and the draw had a bit of a tug to it—pretty nice. It smells of tobacco and could not wait to get her going. After roasting the foot I pick out a few scents. Some nice cedar & something like burn oak. The taste started out with some earth and hints of leather. Noticed the earth leaving and the leather and spice started to pick up. My burn started wondering a bit and had to get it back on track. The ash was of marble white and dark gray. There are a couple of taste I can not put my taste buds on. It had me searching the list not flowery but kind of—maybe! I can say near the last 1/3 it really picked up the leather, pepper and spice. This is a great cigar and who else could mix the tobacco better than Pete Johnson and Pepin. I would highly recommend this to anyone. You can catch them at a good price if you look around. Might not be in this size but at least you can try it and you won’t regret it. I had some time on this smoke and don’t understand the slight burn issue I had but it worked itself out and still was a enjoyable smoke. by tobacmon on 2/17/2009 5:49 AM (3 rated) |

| 95 | Graycliff - Profesionale Pyramid - Pirate - 6 x 52 - Colorado Maduro
Like everyone the first impression with an expensive cigar to me is the look, feel and of coarse the price. These were some I traded for and got like 10-15 each for a very good trade. So I have had a few and wanted to let a few rest to see if my opinion would change. The color of the wrapper was very clean with no veining and the smell was very good, and the shape was one of my favorites. I snipped the head and tasted some slight hints of sweetness at the tip of my tongue. The tobacco was packed and the draw was just right. I started this with an even torch and it started burning very nice. White ash and very even. The first taste that came to mind was a coffee. Not sure if the coffee I was drinking with this helped in my first impression or not we will see. So as this smoke started getting lit real good and man the taste of spice that was creamy was really nice. I felt this would start to pick up and it did. It started to have taste of a creamy, nutty taste with some spice in the background. It really packed a punch while in the home stretch with all of the flavors above and my head was stating to sway. I could not believe this was coming from this cigar with its light tantalizing wrapper. But it did. Now for the price of this cigar it is a bit pricy and not that they are bad but an excellent cigar. To me it would be more in the $10-$15 dollar range. An excellent smoke but a bit pricey. by tobacmon on 2/15/2009 9:53 AM (4 rated) |

| 80 | Rocky Patel - ITC 10th Anniversary Torpedo - Torpedo - 6 1/2 x 52 - Natural
The look of the cigar was appealing with the ban really presenting this as one of Rocky’s premier lines. I looked over the wrapper and was not a bad wrapper but looked to be a little light in color to me. I snipped the head and tasted it and was no more that a woodsy taste. I was wondering if this was what it was cut out to be. So the draw was fine and torched the foot and smells some woodsy scent. My first draw was of cedar and maybe oak and really could not pick up anything else at this point. So onward I go and really no changes until I get about the half way mark that there were some faint hints of tobacco only. It did start to get a bit harsh and had to put it down in disappointment. I was really disappointed with this cigar as from the look I thought the taste would have more than just a cigar taste. It was not a bad cigar but as I stated I was expecting much more for the price and the name on the cigar. So with no further a do I would rate this as an O K cigar and would recommend for someone that is new to cigars to try. Sorry Rocky but this one was not a good one for me. To mild and no flavors that would get me coming back for more- by tobacmon on 2/15/2009 9:29 AM (2 rated) |

| 92 | H. Upmann - H. Upmann Torpedo - Belicoso - 6 1/8 x 52 - Colorado Maduro
The appearance of the wrapper and size of this cigar was very nice with the cedar wrapper protecting this bad boy was an extra in my book. Very nice wrapper with some slight veining and the smell of the cedar got my taste buds going. I clipped it and from the draw I felt this was one of my favorite tastes of cedar and spice. The draw was perfect. After heating the foot on, the cigar tossed out some very nice floral scent and this was actually a smoke I was able to smell this. The cedar, creamy and spicy taste really started at the ½ way mark and was a very good taste after waiting for it to change. The burn and ash were excellent and the taste of cedar, spice and a slight hint of leather made this one of the nicest smokes that I really enjoy. It is a Mild to Medium cigar with plenty of smoke. I would rate this at a very good cigar and would recommend to everyone to try. by tobacmon on 2/15/2009 8:54 AM (4 rated) |

| 90 | Perdomo - Reserve Champagne Robusto - R - 5 x 54 - Colorado Claro
Very nice cigar, moderate veins, easy to light and even burning. The taste was very mild with no nicotine buzz. The ash held firmly until flicked and was a long one hour fifteen minute smoke. The cigar had very little smoke which is not a plus in my book and it had an after taste which lasted over night. For me those were the only deductions from a perfect smoke. While it did not have an unpleasant after taste, I prefer none. I enjoyed this cigar a lot but my favorite (Nub Connecticut) still holds the top place for me. by BigBore on 2/13/2009 5:11 PM (1 rated) |

| 80 | Arturo Fuente - Hemingway Between the Lines Figuado - Short Story - 4 x 48 - Dual Wrapper
Quite an exquisite little cigar. Very nicely wrapped barber pole. Having roughly the same shape as the Short Story, this one packs a lot more of a punch, at least to me. It has a moderate flavor that I cannot really identify but is very pleasant. There is a good amount of smoke, few veins in the wrapper, easy to light and burns evenly. The only thing that kept it from scoring a 100 was it really kicked my tail and for that much money, I would have to have enjoyed it more to rate it any higher. Half way through I had a strong nicotine buzz going which I do not like but I'll be darned if I'll throw away a $17.00 cigar. I bought my son a box of them and he loves them, scoring them a 100, but if not for the cost I would have tossed it half way through. I'm glad he really likes them because I won't smoke another. by BigBore on 2/13/2009 5:00 PM (1 rated) |

| 90 | Camacho - 10th Anniversary Robusto - 50/4.5 - 4 1/2 x 50 - Colorado Claro
A quick pre-smoke sniff gives off a mild tobacco smell with a hint of cocoa. These babies have a great medium brown wrapper with a few small veins. All 4 lit easily, and put off loads of thick, rich smoke. I didn't have any burn issues with any of them. The most noticable taste in this line is chocolate and an extremely rich leathery taste. As I smoked hints of cocoa also faded in and out. Towards the middle of the cigar I noticed a starbucks-like (burnt?) coffee taste appear. Near the nub the tastes got stronger with the burnt coffee being the most pronounced. These are jsut the right size for my lunchtime smoke at work. If you are looking for a tasty lunchtime smoke give these a try. As always, the MSRP is too high so when you can get them for a deal jump on it.

| 83 | Oliva - Serie V Maduro Torpedo - Torpedo - 6 1/2 x 52 - Maduro
The wrapper very nice dark sweet looking and the packed tobacco was a treat in itself. The pre-draw was flawless and the first draw was amazingly sweet and fresh taste of earth and was looking forward to getting this cigar going. This smoke was very intense and the spices were very good. It was however a pleasant taste of a creamy chocolate that really packed a punch with the spices picking up. Drinking my morning cup of coffee really paired well with this also. I think this will be one of the best morning smokes in this case. The ash and burn at this point were doing well not as I anticipated because of the line not holding as straight as I would have expected but still no touch ups. .If you retro inhale you will note more spice and a woodsy taste at the ½ way point. I was picking up allot of pepper when doing this at the start. At the end I noticed some hints of leather, some pepper still prominent and a creamy finish.. A very nice Maduro with some very nice flavors for your senses to have some fun with.I found this to be much like the regular V's with the maddy wrapper giving it that extra touch. I don't think the $$$ was appropriate and for this price I expected much more. Still a Good Cigars.
I would rate this as an good cigar.

Feel:
Consistent firm feel
Tongue:

Smoke
Taste:
Sweet cedar, very slight hints of pepper
Flavor Changes:

Scent of Smoke:
Really could not notice

Very consistent flow of sweet, slight leather and cedar taste throughout the cigar with subtle notes of nuts at the finish. Very enjoyable smoke.

I think with some age on these they will probably pick up the flavor profile more after they have some time in the box. That being said I enjoy this cigar and would recommend them to others to try
I would rate this cigar as a “Good Cigar.”

| 92 | Rocky Patel - Olde World Reserve Toro - Toro - 6 1/2 x 52 - Colorado Maduro
First I gut say I really enjoy this cigar. Nice looking wrapper and appearance is an all around great look.A very nice milk chocolate wrapper with a small amount of veining. I can smell the hints of Cocoa from head to toe on this cigar. After a trimming I torch it real nice and take a draw that was very clean with no obstruction. The flavor is of Chocolate, and spice, both of my favorites. As I hit the middle of this smoke I start getting a more peppery, leather taste that got my senses going again. The ash holding very well at this point and the burn line is very good also. Some cedar was present at the end and with the combination of cedar, pepper and leather it really rounded out this very good smoke. The smoke was intense and again this is one of my favorite go to smokes. The price is a bit much from $9-$10 each, but only smoke them I have time to enjoy them. Very good smoke. by tobacmon on 2/12/2009 5:21 AM (5 rated) |

| 91 | Rocky Patel - Olde World Reserve Robusto - Robusto - 5 1/2 x 54 - Colorado Maduro
Another hit from Rocky Patel - the Olde World Reserve. This one had a heavier aroma than the others I rated even though it was from the same box and has been resting for the same amount of time. Nice toothy wrapper with some veining. It lit easily but this one needed constant repairing. It got to be a pain. Still gives out loads of thick, creamy smoke, with an earthy taste, but this one has a slight harshness to it. Lots of cocoa with a slight hint of chocolate. I can't understand why this one tastes a little different than the others and why this one had burn problems. I hope it isn't a quality control issue. This is a good example of why you can't judge a batch by a single stick. If I would have started with this one I may have thought differently about them. Overall tasty, but don't pay the ridiculous full price. by cybervee on 2/11/2009 1:33 PM (1 rated) |

| 90 | Rocky Patel - Summer Collection 08 Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
These babies have a dark tan toothy wrapper with no large veins. A quick pre-light sniff gave off a very subtle sweet tobacco smell. Upon lighting I noticed a mix of creamy cocoa and hints of citrus. It made me constantly lick my lips. But this wasn't sweet cap glue causing this (cheap trick), it was the tobacco. A chocolate-like taste also faded in and out as I continued to smoke. The blend of tastes was very satisfying. When I reached the half-way point bitterness began to creep into the flavor mix. This tells me that these sticks need some rest time to reach their full potential. I had to try one but it was way too soon. The finish was light and short lived. Overall these are another great cigar from RP. If you like the usual RP flavor profile pick up a few and give them some rest time. You won't be disappointed. by cybervee on 2/10/2009 8:37 AM (1 rated) |

| 92 | Nub - Connecticut Shorty - 358 - 3 3/4 x 58 - Colorado Claro
Someone gifted me this NUB. They said it had been resting for about 6 months. The pre-light sniff gave off a creamy aroma making me want to light it up. It was easily lit, and put off thick, rich smoke. I immediately noticed a creamy cocoa flavor. Very nice. After a few minutes a leather hint appeared, followed by an earthy tone. The cocoa was still there but not as pronounced. This cigar had no harshness at all, which may be due to the rest time before smoking. It took almost an hour to smoke. A very nice smoke, but not the 'end all' it was hyped to be. I would say that anyone who likes a creamy cocoa-type flavor profile should try a NUB.

| 93 | 601 - Red Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Natural
The cigar is one of my favorite go to smokes. The color of the Habano wrapper is toothy, spicy and sweet looking all wrapped into one small Robusto smoke. The wrapper is clean and no prominent veins were present also. I really like the look of this cigar as you can tell. The main thing I like about this cigar is the draw, taste and burn. The draw is flawless and the taste of spice hit my pallet during the pre-light. No any problems with the burn. It was as straight as straight could be.
After heating this smoke the first draw was filled with spice and a sweet taste. Diffidently a full bodied smoke that has my senses moving this morning with my cup of joe. The pepper picked up and my nostrils were on fire. What a very nice cigar. Some slight hints of cocoa were present from ½ ways thru the end. I would highly recommend anyone to give this size and smoke a go. You will not be disappointed.

Very nicely rolled cigar that ha s a very appealing look. Some slight vexing also present. The draw and pre-light taste were very nice with some taste of cocoa. The draw being very clean with a slight tug as I ready for the cigar. After lighting the burn and draw were very nice, the ash also was just right. The taste of spice was very present and the hints of coca coming still present. Not sure but there was another taste, maybe leather I guess but was not a prominent as the spice and cocoa, If that makes any since. It produces plenty of smoke and was an enjoyable smoke. I would say this is a good cigar that was mild to medium with limited taste available. For the price I could find others that are better. by tobacmon on 2/10/2009 5:24 AM (2 rated) |

| 82 | Cuba Aliados - Cuba Aliados Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Maduro
The look and feel was O K but nothing fantastic, just O K.--Look and appearance of the wrapper Very small veins, well aged and somewhat dry. Had a rustic look about it and thought it had aged well in the box. Scent of unlit cigar wrapper and foot -Mild tobacco Flavors upon first draw and other--- smooth draw with a hint of pepper. Good smooth draw with allot of smoke. Not a bad burn, pretty good. Slight roasted nuts with a little allspice undertone and mild tobacco flavor throughout. No real changes at any point, although got a very little bit more spice in the last part of the cigar..

| 93 | Padron - 1926 Series Torpedo - 40th Anniversary - 6 1/2 x 54 - Maduro
To start this cigar was a pleasant looking cigar –looking like a nice piece of dark chocolate in color with no bad veins, etc. Very clean and easy draw. Tasted an earthy chocolate taste from the draw and from the first light. Something tells me I will enjoy this one as much as I did the 80th. After the first third the second started to pick up notes of coffee with some more of the cocoa and chocolate rounding out this awesome cigar. I also picked up some very slight hints of leather but nothing like I did the Cocoa, & Coffee. Had not one problem with the burn and was great all the way to the nub. I would rate this as an excellent cigar and notch under the 80th.
I would only smoke this type of cigar on special occasions because they are a bit pricey. I would rate this as a 93. Very good smoke.

| 93 | Padron - 1926 Series Torpedo - 40th Anniversary - 6 1/2 x 54 - Maduro
Cigar: Padron 1926 Serie 40th Anniversary
Appearance & Construction (19/20): There are two sides to this box pressed cigar. On the top and bottom the cigar is silky smooth with a few oil showing on the natural wrapper. The sides of the box press reveal a different look, one that is quite toothy with many bumps and ridges. The label features the classic look Padron 1926 Serie, with a secondary band denoting “40 Years”. The cigar has a nice weight, no soft spots, and a perfect pre-light draw.
Flavor & Notes (29/30): The prelight draw reveals notes of earth and a touch of chocolate. As we continue smoking the first third, notes of cocoa and coffee develop both of which are extremely pleasing to the palette. The second third continues to be a journey of rich cocoa and pleasing spices that are incredibly pleasing to the palette that is quickly making this one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. As we reach the final third of our journey cocoa remains with some coffee and leather notes.
Burn/Ash/Draw (24/25): The ash is medium gray in color and it reveals little magnesium pimples as well which is very common for a Padron cigar. The draw can be described with just one word, “Fantastic”. The thing that prevents this section from being perfect is the wavy burn line which I did not expect for a cigar in the price range despite it being box pressed.
Overall (22/25): The price of this smoke brings down the rating some but despite the number this is one of the best cigars I ever smoked. It is easy to see how it once won cigar of the year. While too pricey to be an every day smoke, this cigar deserves to be in your repertoire for special occasions.

| 96 | Shocko Valley - Plantation Reserve Robusto - Robusto - 5 1/2 x 50 - Natural
Ahhh, this is one sweet cigar. Only available from Havana Connections in Richmond VA, it is specially made for them by Rocky Patel. It comes packaged in glass tubes, 10 to a box and named after the Shocko Valley (Bottom) region in Richmond VA, where HC is mostly located.
It is a tightly rolled cigar, mild pleasant smell, with few veins. It has a slightly sweet flavor, almost as if it were a flavored cigar but it is not. It lights easily and burns even and has a good amount of smoke with little after taste. Even though it seems rolled tight, the ash falls very easily and if not careful, a mess is easy to make. I did not like this aspect of the cigar. Body is mild with no bite, start to finish. by BigBore on 2/6/2009 7:18 PM (2 rated) |

| 67 | Rocky Patel - Autumn Edition 2008 Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 52 - Natural
Beautiful cigar with a light smell. Veins seen but not prominent. Lots of smoke, easy to light, and a good even burn. Why the low score? I'm a woose and it is way too strong for me. Half way through I was toting a heavy nicotine buzz and called it quits. I very pretty cigar and a great collection piece, but I dare not smoke one again. by BigBore on 2/6/2009 7:12 PM (1 rated) |

Very easy to light and burns was very even with good amount of smoke. It was very mild with a cool draw, but had a slight ash taste that lingered for hours after smoking. It was a very nice smoke and had no nicotine buzz. If not for the ash after taste it would have scored a couple of points higher. by BigBore on 2/6/2009 7:04 PM (2 rated) |

| 92 | Rocky Patel - Olde World Reserve Robusto - Robusto - 5 1/2 x 54 - Colorado Maduro
From my favorite brand Rocky Patel comes the Olde World Reserve. A pre-light sniff gives a tasty chocolate aroma. The toothy wrapper is oily to the touch. Easily lit, and burned to the nub without any need for 'repairs'. These give out loads of thick, creamy smoke, with an earthy taste. I also noticed hints of cocoa and spice, and of course chocolate. I would say they are a full bodied smoke and not for beginners. If you can get a deal on them they are well worth trying.

| 92 | Rocky Patel - Decade Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
The more I smoke these the better I like them. The toothy, dark brown wrapper has few veins and looks good enough to eat. It has thick, rich smoke, with the immediate taste of spice and cocoa. After the first third an occasional vanilla note develops. I didn't notice the vanilla with the first one I smoked. Could it be that only a few weeks at 65% humidity improved them? In the final third the flavor is stronger, but there is still no harshness. An earthy taste also develops. Similar to the earthy taste you get from the Vintage 90 line. I have to make it a point not to continually choose this stick for my daily smoke. It would be easy to do. If you can get them at a discount it is well worth getting a box, but at full price you may just want to pick up a couple to test out. I like them and I'm glad I picked up a box. by cybervee on 2/5/2009 8:49 AM (3 rated) |

| 89 | Punch - Rare Corojo Churchill - Double Corona - 6 3/4 x 48 - Colorado Maduro
Again, this is one of my fav's - an inexpensive cigar with some kick. Good draw and construction wasn't bad either. It died once about 5/8 into it and lost a little bit of its flair, but still good enough to smoke near the nub. Recommend if you like some spice in your cigar plus it goes really good with Captain Morgan's Private Stock. by DBenitez on 2/4/2009 12:37 PM (1 rated) |

| 91 | Perdomo - Exclusivo Robusto - Epicure - 5 x 50 - Colorado Claro
I purchased a box of 10 glass tubed Exclusivo from JR's because they were just over $3 each to my front door. When a Perdomo is $3 each I have to try them. These babies have a beautiful dark brown toothy wrapper that is oily to the touch. In the pre-light sniff I noticed only a very mellow tobacco smell. It lit easily, and had no burn issues. When I began smoking it I noticed a light creamy taste with hints of mocha and cocoa. These flavors remained all the way through, got slightly stronger near the middle, and remained that way until I nubbed it. It was like drinking a cup of coffee that had been diluted with mocha flavored cream. Very light and very smooth. This cigar proves that you don't need a strong stick to get great flavors. If you like mild, flavorful smokes check them out. You won't be disappointed. by cybervee on 2/3/2009 8:31 AM (1 rated) |

| 90 | Montecristo - No. 4 Parejos - Mareva - 5 x 42 - Natural
The Cuban Montecristo is known to be erratic in quality. Usually you will find 4 or 5 in every box that are either plugged or burn horribly. That being said they are one of the richest cc's out there. They are also known to need a minimum of one year down time before smoking. I couldn't wait another 11 months to try one, which is unfair because they need that time to mellow. I'm sure my future review will rate these babies at greater than a 90. The have a beautiful chocolate brown wrapper with small veins. In my pre-light smell I could detect an earthy tone. They light fairly easily, and the first few draws told me I should have let them age because it was so powerful I almost put it down. It mellowed quickly and gave way to a smoother earthy taste with hints of pepper every so often. After the half-way point the pepper was more prominent and it included an occasional hint of cedar. I smoked it as far down as I could before nubbing it. Overall I would recommend these to anyone who likes reasonably priced, tasty cc's. But plan on aging them before enjoying them. by cybervee on 1/30/2009 9:39 AM (1 rated) |

| 92 | El Triunfador - El Triunfador Lancero - Lancero - 7 1/2 x 38 - Maduro
Pre-Smoke: I have recently become a fan of the Lancero size. This cigar has a very nice wrapper, A few veins that caused concerns but with the look of a dark piece of chocolate and a woodsy smell, it seems everything would be just fine. After clipping the Cuban style cap pigtail the draws seem at first that the draw would be a problem but soon after the light it was just the opposite. Sweet vanilla, wood and spice hit my taste buds immediately. I really enjoy all of the spices from the start.
Smoke: Many notes of spices after lighting the cigar.. Nuts, cinnamon and Leather where prominent in the taste and smell of the cigar. When approaching the 2nd. Half of the cigar there was a slight hint of vanilla and cinnamon and both spices really picked up the intensity of the cigar and the taste of Chocolate and Leather. The burn was excellent during the entire cigar. No problems with heat, just all a great smoking cigar. At the end of this cigar the flavors of chocolate, leather intensified and can not wait to torch another. All of the flavors and spices were in my flavor range and profile.
Overall: My overall impressions of this cigar are very positive. The cigar is constructed very well and proved itself as the burn was flawless. I did have a couple of re-lights as I was doing this review due to my typing and smoking it. This did not take away from my over all rating and feelings, taste and impressions of this smoke. The flavors were all within my flavor profile as stated above and really enjoyed this cigar very much. I am a big Pete Johnson fan and really enjoy his dedication to producing his cigars. I would love to check this cigar out after a year or so of age on them.
I was gifted this stick for Christmas and have to say it was all I had expected and more. This is why I feel Pete Johnson will go far in this industry as he already has in my opinion. You will never be displeased with anything he puts his name on. I look forward to the larger rings if they do come out. I think the price could be better and in hopes that this will soon be a priority of his. On another point I would request that the new lines not be in limited production and was wondering why this is becoming a trend. . by tobacmon on 1/29/2009 6:33 PM (2 rated) |

| 70 | Primero de Fabrica - Primero de Fabrica Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: Green peppercorn
Scent at Foot: Peppery
Wrapper: Very little veins thru the cigar
Feeling: Nice tight feel with a slight tug on the draw but not bad—I like the draw..
Tongue: Peppery, Earthy and Slight Tingly
Flavor on Draw: Earthy
Smoke
Taste: Peppery-Right from the start it was pretty nice with hints of pepper, spice and a slight taste of cedar. Building as I smoked from a Med. to Full bodied cigar.
Flavor Changes: Lots of pepper and further into the cigar it started getting spicier. Also french inhaled this smoke. It was stronger at first then when I got to the ½ way mark it smooth out.
Strength: Med. / Full
Scent of Smoke: Could not put any notes on this part.
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: Nothing during 1st. half but near the 2/3 is when the heat picked up with my mouth and nose.
Draw: Very nice smooth / loose draw
Finish: Problems with the burn and will let the other rest a bit before torching it. I think it needs some time to rest and at a lower R.H...
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: Very good cigar and not a bad smoke.
I thought it was an OK cigar but had some problems with the burn. Not sure if that was due to the resting time. I will see if the other one is different after a few months at 70* / 68 R.H. by tobacmon on 1/28/2009 5:13 AM (2 rated) |

This is one of the Nestor's before Don Pepin started rolling it. It had a very loose draw, but not too annoying for me. It had a bit of spice with a very mellow, mild-medium smoke. Died on me once but picked up with no prob. The cigar was alright, wasn't great but wasn't a bad smoke either. Did have it aging for some time though. Could explain the smoothness with the spice. by DBenitez on 1/23/2009 11:04 AM (1 rated) |

| 89 | Ashton - VSG Petit Corona - Tres Mystique - 4 3/8 x 44 -
This perfect little petite measures 4.3 x 44 and is a lovely cigar. The pre-smoke is nice with a perfect wrap and wonderful smell. The first flavors were very smooth, not over powering and were mostly nutty with a nice taste of milky cream. I was loving this cigar in the second part of the smoke when coco formed and tastes of woods and spicy leather. It still held its creamy taste until the last stage where it became stronger and more of a clean spice taste which isn't my favorite. At the very end, the coco came back with medium strength and then ended with a cedar clean finish. This was a great cigar, but in my opinion it isn't worth the price of $14+. by bran429 on 1/22/2009 11:49 PM (1 rated) |

This was my News Years smoke, and what a great choice it was. This one had it all- easy light, perfect draw, even burning, and the taste- well, I still remembered what it tasted like on New Years Day! It didn't have many flavors going on, but it just seemed like it was better that way. The best word I can use to desribe it would be "full". Not so much full-bodied, but a full taste. A lot of earthiness, and the smoke was very smooth. A great cigar to begin the New Year with! by Mankind on 1/22/2009 10:21 PM (1 rated) |

Lit easy and had a great draw. The first 1/3 had a strong but not overpowering spiciness, and ample hints of nuts, especially when exhaled through the nose and mouth. These are a tasty, budget isom that you won't regret trying. The wrapper has many large veins and looks rough. Some of the sticks I have even have a slight bend in them. Probably the worst looking cigar you have seen - but give them a try. They light easily. I have had a few with burn issues that were easily corrected. Not a single one has been plugged. They have an earthy taste, with a leathery tone that fades in and out. For as awful as they look they are a tasty little isom that I find to be a higher-grade yard gar. They were free with a box purchase or I probably wouldn't have tried them. Probably the most under-rated isom out there. by cybervee on 1/22/2009 9:17 PM (3 rated) |

These smokes have a beautiful light brown wrapper with no veining. They are easily lit with a consistently great burn. Smooth and creamy when lit, with hints of chocolate and cinnamon that get stronger as you smoke. These are a little more mild than I usually like in a isom, but they are very flavorful and worth trying.

These are probably the best 'small cigar' (minuto) I have ever smoked. They are easy to light with a perfect burn and loads of thick, rich smoke. They have aged very well and turned smooth as silk. I notice subtle hints of sweetness and cocoa, with an occasional peppery blast. The last third makes you burn your fingers to get every luscious little bit. Some veins but very nicely rolled barber pole. Heavy nicotine buzz half way through so that I could not finish the cigar. Full body, burned even and easy to light but produces little smoke. | 80 | Nub - Habano Shorty - 460 - 4 x 60 - Colorado
Very dense and well packed cigar with only a trace of filler flaking. I found these two hard to light and with moderate smoke. Burn was even though once lit. It had a spicy, slightly smoky flavor and full body. Once again, this cigar proved too strong for me (hence the low score) and gave a stronger than liked nicotine buzz. It also left a lingering heavy after taste. For a person who likes a strong cigar, this would be a much better smoke than for a person like me. by BigBore on 1/22/2009 6:48 PM (2 rated) |

| 75 | Rocky Patel - Summer Collection Toro - Toro - 6 1/2 x 52 - Natural
Beautifully built cigar with very nice smell. Lots of smoke, easy to light, and good even burn. Price is right for a very nice cigar, so why do I score it so low. I'm a sissy and it kicked my butt. Way too strong and a very long after taste. If I could stand a strong cigar I would rate it much higher. by BigBore on 1/22/2009 6:38 PM (1 rated) |

| 87 | Cohiba - Extra Vigoroso Double Corona - XV 749 - 7 x 49 - Colorado Maduro
Wowie! This was a super strong cigar but didn't stay that way. It would be really strong, then be medium, then go back to full strength. There was one bad vein and the construction was alright i guess. Ash was a slight grey-ish looking color. by bran429 on 1/22/2009 1:43 PM (2 rated) |

| 85 | Vega Talanga - Tercio Corona - Corona - 5 1/2 x 42 -
The Vega Talanga Tercio was something I came across in a $20 grab bag from CI one time. At first I assumed it would be like most buck sticks (tolerable, but just a step above garbage). Since that one, I have bought 2 bundles of the Tercio.
Supposedly the VT Terc is supposed to have a knotted cap and a shaggy foot, however mine (maybe the Corona doesn't have it) had a standard cap and a clean cut foot.
The first half an inch of this cigar is actually pretty bitter, almost terrible. I was close to throwing it away. I am glad I didn't (note: you should toast the foot and blow out a couple times with this one before actually smoking it).
The cigar has a very woody underflavor that is blended with subtle hints of earth and cream at different points. For a $1 cigar, it's fairly multi-dimensional, makes for a great everyday stick.
I paired this (due to the woody hints), with a glass of Laphroaig. by sboyajian on 1/22/2009 9:26 AM (1 rated) |

| 92 | Nub - Cameroon Shorty - 460 - 4 x 60 - Colorado Maduro
I was relatively new to Nubs up until about a month or so ago. I wasn't afraid of it, but more like a curious bystander watching something happen and not really sure what to make of it.
I am now, officially, hooked on the Nub. I've only had the Cameroon's to this point, but they are great.
The 460 Cammie is such a big cigar.. wait, no it's not. No, really it is.. this badboy will burn longer than most churchills (I clocked just under 1 1/2 hours)
With all cameroons, I had spice almost throughout this cigar, with very subtle and flavorful earthy undertones that varied as it went along. The burn was even the entire way, never had to hit it with the torch and of course, the ash held like a champ (until like a fool I wasn't paying attention and hit the end against my side table).
I would definately recommend this to anyone. by sboyajian on 1/22/2009 9:17 AM (1 rated) |

| 87 | Drew Estate - Natural Ltd. Pimp Stick Perfecto - Pimp Stick - 6 x 52 - Colorado Maduro
The Pimp Stick is part of the Natural Ltd Line (which also includes the Irish Hops).
Known for being extremely well constructed, I was not surprised to find no soft spots and have no wrapper issues. I don't think I ever have with a Drew Estate.
The cigar is a figurado shape and lights up very easily. It's a good tasting cigar, but didn't really knock my socks off (it's one of the more "natural" of the Natural series)..
The first third held a pretty solid, white ash and get off plenty of smoke. It had a spice flavor throughout which actually remained for a good portion of the second third as well.
The ash fell off shortly into the second third and there was a flavor I could not pin down.. nothing bad, just couldn't figure it out.
The final third had a flavor I am not a huge fan off, but I actually never noticed before with a Pimp Stick. Typically I get very subtle hints of chocolate with the Pimp Stick, this time it was still chocolate, but bitter (like baking chocolate).. not a very good finish.
I would recommend this cigar, as I think the bitter was a oddity from the other Pimp Sticks I have had, but I would recommend the Irish Hops over this one (even if it does taste more "infused") by sboyajian on 1/22/2009 9:08 AM (1 rated) |

Scent of Wrapper:
Tobacco
Scent at Foot:
Rich earthy soil
Appearance:
Well made and constructed
Wrapper:
Very nice Brown in color with some prominent veining
Feel:
Tight and Firm
Tongue:
Bitter and Leathery
Flavor on Draw:
Cedar and again a slight woodsy twist, maybe oak
Smoke
Taste:
Very nice light peppery and creamy taste
Flavor Changes:
Pretty constant 2/3 through and picked up a bit at the end..
Strength:
I would say a constant medium strength that did pick up intensity at the end 1/3 that was a full bodied cigar
Feeling:
A really relaxing cigar that I enjoyed very much
Scent of Smoke:
Hard to say
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
None
Draw:
Very nice clean draw
Finish:
Very smooth finish and again was constant from the start
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
After the first draw of this cigar I knew it was similar to the 601 Red that I like very good job. This was my first one.
Make any notes beyond what you noted already
I have to say, anything Don Pepin over see has got to turn out to be a pretty good cigar. From the choice of wrapper, binder and filler he never stops amazing me. I would diffidently recommend this cigar.

| 60 | Gran Habano - Connecticut #1 Rothchild - Rothchild - 4 1/2 x 50 - Natural
Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Slight oak--????
Sent at Foot: Wood.
Wrapper: Conn.Wrapper and notice several veins.
Feel: Spongy
Tongue: A small taste of spice but nothing exciting.
Flavor on Draw: Field Grass.
Smoke
Taste: The taste was confusing to me. It was all over the place, earth, wood, oak, grass and really could not pin point one specific taste. Really did not enjoy this. I usually can tell when rolling the smoke through my nose and mouth but the taste when doing this I did not enjoy.
Strength: Mild
Sent of smoke: Stale smell.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None.
Draw: Good.
Finish: I really could not finish this smoke and had to stop 2/3 into. There were issues with the burn, taste, aroma and first thing in the morning was not a good idea.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I usually have good comments here but sorry but the cigar was to me not what I would recommend and or purchase. The only rating for this smoke I could give that is a positive one was the wrapper appearance, draw and putting it down. Just being honest—Sorry! by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 8:15 AM (2 rated) |

| 80 | Gran Habano - Corojo #5 Corona - Gran Corona - 6 x 44 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Nutty.
Sent at Foot: .Dirt earth type smell.
Wrapper: Looked like a Nic./ Nice.
Feel: Gave a little doing the pinch test.
Tongue: I could not really tell.
Flavor on Draw: Taste of straw.
Smoke
Taste: This is a very nice tasting smoke, taste of cedar, spices and earth. At first light the flavors “all” were trying to confuse my senses and notes of the cedar really hit heavy then came the combo of cedar & Spice. After I smoked about half the flavor of pepper started hitting my nostrils—made me sneeze.
Strength: Med. -- Full.
Sent of smoke: It was nice enough to take this outside and really could not tell.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None on figures and very little in mouth at the end.
Draw: Very nice draw.
Finish: Full peppery finish with some hints of cedar.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: This is a very nice smoke that that I would enjoy once a week—The make up of this cigar was very well planned and put together. Nice binder and filler that held the ash together in the wind pretty good. The draw, burn and taste was very nice. by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 8:12 AM (2 rated) |

| 80 | Los Blancos - Primos Torpedo - Torpedo - 6 1/8 x 52 - Maduro
Pre-Smoke
Sent of Wrapper: Cedar
Sent at Foot: Field Grass--Woodsy
Wrapper: Nice wrapper, looked to be a habano wrapper but noted a few veins that did not affect my impressions of the cigar.
Feel: Tightly rolled, nicely rolled--comfortable.
Tongue: No tingle for me--Earthly taste
Flavor on Draw:Again field Grass
Smoke
Taste:It to me was a slight taste of oak with a mild flavor and continued through out entire smoke. Did not notice any changes in this cigar. Stayed constant.
Strength:This was a very mild smoke.
Sent of smoke:I really did not noticed a heavy smell and was pleasant in the house. No complaints from the wife .
Heat on Fingers and in mouth:Notta--None
Draw: Draw was great --did not get tight at all--this was impressive due to the tightness of the roll. tells me it is a quality smoke.
Finish: The finish was the same as the start--maybe a slight difference--maybe to start a very mild to mild at the finish.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I liked the Burn , Draw and look of the wrapper for this cigar. It just did not have the flavors I was anticipating form the looks of the cigar. I do have one more and will smoke outdoors to maybe see if I see any changes. For now it was a good mild cigar and with little taste. by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 8:00 AM (2 rated) |

Sent of Wrapper:Very nice sent of Cocoa
Sent at Foot: Earthy

Feel:Nice tight feel –No soft spots anywhere.
Tongue: Slight tingle and after taste Sweet like chocolate
Flavor on Draw: The draw was O K not tight and hints again of Cocoa.
Smoke
Taste: Spicy and taste like cocoa
Strength: Full Bodied
Sent of smoke: The scent was again like burn chocolate.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None what so ever until the nub!
Draw:Very nice smooth draw
Finish: The finish was very good-smoked to the nub and enjoyed the time limit of this smoke. It had a many spices but the most memorable would again be Cocoa.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I really liked and enjoyed this cigar from the very start till I dreaded having to lay it down. The first third there was a little confusing but started to pick up a taste of pleasant spices and dark coffee. There was plenty of smoke and ringed a few puffs. My nose really enjoyed the immense flavors of the cocoa all threw the cigar. As the cigar got smaller the smoke really picked up its intensity. It was differently a full flavored cigar that I would enjoy every once in a while. I really enjoyed this smoke and the length of time in which to smoke—Very Nice! by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 7:55 AM (2 rated) |

This is starting to be one of my favorite sizes and the pig tail cap looks outstanding
Wrapper:
Very nice clean looking brown wrapper with some slight veining
Feel:
Firm
Tongue:
Leathery & Earthy
Flavor on Draw:
Cedar and slight spice
Smoke
Taste:
Leather,wood and tobacco flavor—very nice
Flavor Changes:
After the Woodsy, leathery taste at the atsrt the smoke started to change and I picked up a slight hint of Coffee and or Chocolate
Strength:
Full
Feeling:
An outstanding and stellar cigar. This is one of my favorite blends and really gets your senses moving. I would recommend if you have yet to try get one of these and you will really enjoy it with a cup of Joe or a nice libation.
Scent of Smoke:
Tobacco
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
Did not notice
Draw:
For a Lancero this was outstanding and clean
Finish:
Man what a spicy filled smoke. The spice and coffee really picked up at the end. Lots of smoke and flavor galore. Great taste.
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
I usually smoke a cigar with my cup of coffee in the early AM and this one really started my day in the right direction. The coffee, spice and woodsy taste paired very well with my morning coffee. .This cigar has got to be one of the number one smokes today. I have heard nothing but good things about this line
Make any notes beyond what you noted already:
I have always enjoyed a good, clear draw Lancero and this had to be one of those Lancero that you wish it would have lasted longer. The cost is a little much than some 90 plus rated cigars but like always would enjoy seeing the price drop some. Maybe if the embargo is lifted I will buy a couple boxes.

| 89 | CAO - Criollo Robusto - Pato - 4 7/8 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper:
Very nice smell of cedar and tobacco
Scent at Foot:
Cedar
Appearance:
Great look and the pig tail is always a nice look
Wrapper:
Very fine veins—no blemishes at all—very clean
Feel:
Firm
Tongue:
Cedar
Flavor on Draw:
Woodsy, earthy draw
Smoke
Taste:
Slight nutty with slight hints of spice
Flavor Changes:
This smoke started out a smooth mild to medium smoke that picked up a bit at the ½ way mark—the end started to get fuller but noted some slight bitterness and leathery taste. At the 2/3 mark it looked to start a bad burn but corrected itself and was no problem.
Strength:
Medium to Full
Feeling:
The flavors were consistent with no drastic change--- The sweet and spicy flavor I did enjoy but the bitterness with the leather for some reason took me off guard. I would enjoy the combination of both with more spice.
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
I smoked it to the nub a was a bit warm at the end but not hot
Draw:
A very slight tug on the draw and was very good
Finish:
Finished to the nub as the pictures shows—I enjoyed this one from start to finish.
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
The look of the cigar is very nice and expected much more –Though it was a good smoke I would have appreciated more spice.
Make any notes beyond what you noted already:
I wonder if the flavor will get better with age due to the Criollo wrapper. The flavors were a bit mild for me I still really liked the cigar.

| 92 | Padilla - Signature 1932 Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper:
Tobacco
Scent at Foot:
Tobacco
Appearance:
Very nice looking cigar
Wrapper:
Wrapper very nice, some prominent veins
Feel:
Near the cap it was tight and a little spongy from middle to foot
Tongue:
Spicy
Flavor on Draw:
Earthy, spicy taste
Smoke
Taste:
Cedar and peppery
Flavor Changes:
At the start it was full of pepper and cedar that change pretty quick and picked up its intensity with earthy and slight nutty flavors with a creamy back ground. The half way mark there was taste of coffee—very nice. At the end it was allot of spice with leather tones—this was a great smoke and really would enjoy one with a better burn.
Strength:
Full from the start to finish--
Feeling:
I enjoyed it while the burn stayed in line. Other than that it was a great cigar.
Scent of Smoke:
Tobacco
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
Narrry none
Draw:
Draw had a slight tug that was pleasant
Finish:
Lots of pepper and spice
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
This bums me a little because of the burn. Re-touch many times, distracted me and was not really able to enjoy 100 %. I dry boxed this for a couple days and still had a burn issue. It was still a very great smoke. I just don’t care for the touch ups when purchasing a pricy smoke.
Make any notes beyond what you noted already:
What I would enjoy is to have one of these smokes burn even for me. It seems to start well and then it would go off. So after re-touch it started back it’s coarse only to have a re-light again. This was annoying to me. The flavors, taste and smoke when on track was stellar though. That is what kept my interest. by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 7:21 AM (10 rated) |

Firm
Make any notes beyond what you noted already:
I am very fond of the R P Ole World Reserve and this lie was in no way near that caliber. Though it was an O K smoke it really did not tell me to hurry and get some more. by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 7:16 AM (3 rated) |

Draw had a bit of a tug to it--Not Bad—should have let it rest for a few weeks maybe
Finish:

Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
I was not impressed with this smoke like I was with the Belicoso –maybe the size difference and the resting time may have been reasons for this review not to be as good as I was anticipating

I may have out grown these smokes as my taste have become more accustom to the newer lines out today. I still enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone that has not tried to give it a whirl. by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 7:09 AM (9 rated) |

Strength:
Started medium and packed a Full punch at the end. Totally taken off guard.
Feeling:
Before torching this smoke make sure to do it on a “FULL” stomach. I will have another after a full meal and think I will enjoy it much better. Beads of sweat on my forehead and taking a “Nip” of clear water did not help things. Very nice flavors and burn was a little out but not a problem.

Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
None
Draw:
Very clean draw
Finish:
Peppery and very spicy.

This is for the avid cigar smoker and would not recommend to someone just starting out. It says it was a Med/ Full and I have to say it was more on the Full side especially at the nub
Make any notes beyond what you noted already:
CAO is continuing to move in the right direction and the flavor profiles are come along quite nicely. I would rate this as an “Excellent”, cigar that for anyone that wants something that really packs a punch from ½ way mark to the end—this is for you. by tobacmon on 1/19/2009 6:20 AM (2 rated) |

| 91 | Alec Bradley - Tempus Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
Pre-smoke
Scent of Wrapper: Smells like coffee, rich and peppery.
Scent at Foot: Slight scent of leather and pepper, almost sneezed.
Appearance: Very nice looking cigar. Had a small vein on one side and I think this is something you will notice on any cigar with this type of wrapper. The color was consistent and very clean. I liked the look and feel of this size and the appearance was exceptional.
Wrapper: A small vein, looks like a piece of chocolate. No blemishes and noticed the cap was a triple cap.
Feel: Tightly rolled and firm.
Tongue: Leather and earthy taste.
Flavor on Draw: Not any tingle on draw but did noticed hints of coffee.
Smoke
Taste : Leathery and Nutty
Flavor Changes: The first 1/2 of the cigar was full of Pepper, Leather and Spice. As I entered the second 1/2 picked up some Nutty flavors and the Spice mellowed into it very nice.
Strength: The first half was medium and it intensified after the ½ way mark. Picked up to a full flavor with lots of coffee, leather and spice. The spices intensified with no problems of heat or harshness during the finish.
Feeling: I would recommend all to try. This is going to be on my rotation for sure. If you want a cigar that gives you many different flavors and spices, this is the one you need to try.
Scent of Smoke: Not good at telling what the scent was during this smoke. My wife tells me it smells like my coffee brewing but with a Smokey smell.
Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: No heat on figures or mouth. Burns cool throughout the whole smoke.
Draw: The draw was perfect with a very slight restricted draw. Perfect and what I expect in a premium cigar.
Finish: There was an after taste of coffee and that pair very well with my morning cup of Joe.
Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I really enjoy this cigar as I stated it will be in my rotation as a early morning smoke. It pairs well with coffee, and will check it next time with an evening glass of rum no ice.
Make any notes beyond what you noted already: I would highly recommend this cigar as it will not let you down. Compared to the other AB Blends this one takes the ribbon. It’s a very relaxing and complex smoke that will sure have your senses on their toes.

Sent of Wrapper: Field Grass
Sent at Foot: I love the dirt smell—earthy I guess.
Wrapper: Nice color wrapper almost a Habano color, but a little lighter. Very slight veining and the cap was spot on. I liked the wrapper—looked clean and very well made.
Feel: Tightly wrapped , very nice.
Tongue: Could not really taste anything.
Flavor on Draw: Field Grass
Smoke
Taste: The cigar from the very beginning was an easy draw and full of flavors some of which I enjoyed. Many spices but what got my attention was the pepper. Reminded me of the Oliva line.
Strength: Full.
Sent of smoke: My wife was a little upset because this was # 2 in the house today. She said this one smelled like someone was burning leaves. A good scent.
Heat on Fingers and in mouth: None—at all.
Draw: Great draw from start to finish.
Finish: This cigar was very relaxing and was able to get many aspect of the cigar after a good meal. It was peppery, and lots of smoke.
Other aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I also felt this was along the lines of the Oliva’s. Nice construction, burn taste and smoke. This is a Full Bodied smoke and picked up after ¼ of the smoke really well. The burn was consistent and the ash looked to be from a plant in very nicely cultivated soil. I would highly rate this smoke and would also if not already, purchase some.

Heat on Fingers and in Mouth:
When I got to the nub that the heat was noticeable. Other than that it was very cool throughout.

This is another favorite of mine. I like the overall taste and construction of this cigar. The only problem is with the ash, as when you least expect it to fall, it will so be careful. Dion Giolito blends some very nice cigars and I give him many props for the outstanding work he has done and continues to do.
Thanks Very Much Dion!

Cedar / Tobacco
Appearance:
Though the wrapper had many dark spots and the slight veining was also present, I did not let this deter me from my review

Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience:
I enjoy the combination of Nicaraguan & Peruvian as filler and with the Honduran wrapper to keep this smoke sweet, spicy and tasting great
Make any notes beyond what you noted already
The burn, ash and flavors coming from this cigar were pretty good and have several resting. I would recommend if you like the taste of cocoa and spice to give this smoke a go. I picked my box up from one of the devil sites from a bid I won. I was curious of these smokes and read about them several times and read several reviews as well. I tried and I liked it, and the rest is history.

Make any notes beyond what you noted already
I have always enjoyed a good, clear draw Lancero and this had to be one of those Lancero that you wish it would have lasted longer. The cost is a little much than some 90 plus rated cigars but like always would enjoy seeing the price drop some. Maybe if the embargo is lifted I will buy a couple boxes.
I would rate this cigar as an “Excellent Cigar.”

Tightly rolled with few veins. Very good smelling cigar. Good smoke overall that was easy to light and with an even burn until toward the end when it started to burn uneven. It has a slight nutty flavor in the middle but started to take on an ashen taste toward the end. No nicotine buzz but a long lingering aftertaste. It has a good amount of smoke and was cool in smoking. by BigBore on 1/18/2009 3:42 PM (1 rated) |

Good cigar but a not very complex. It burned evenly, good construction and died once at the end. The smoke was more like a medium strength, maybe even a mild-medium. It was smooth, but didn't leave much of an impression while smoking. I gave it the rating bc it wasn't a bad cigar but I was expecting more. by DBenitez on 1/16/2009 12:51 PM (1 rated) |

| 88 | CAO - Italia Corona Extra - Novella - 4 1/2 x 46 - Colorado Maduro
Prelight-
Scent of Wrapper: faint pepper
Scent of Foot: Strong Pepper
Draw: Extremely hard draw
Feel: a little spongy, but not in a bad way.
The cigar lit very well, and maintained a perfect burn all the way through. The ash held on for 1 to 1 1/2" portions.
Initially when I lit this all I could taste was pepper, however as the first third began to unwind I got a coffee flavor with a hint of chocolate.. this actually remained for most of the cigar until pepper came back on strong..
The cigar was a good one, but one I feel I would not buy personally. I would smoke another if it was gifted to me, but I personally feel the Brazilia is a much better cigar for the price. by sboyajian on 1/15/2009 5:29 PM (1 rated) |

| 91 | Rocky Patel - Decade Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Colorado Maduro
Its only been a few weeks since I received my bundle but I had to smoke one. I don't think they are the 'end all' 95 rating that CA gave them but they are tasty. The toothy wrapper is a dark brown with few veins. It began to flake off at the end during the final third but that may have been my fault. Lots of thick, rich smoke, with hints of spice and cocoa. During the final third I picked up some earthy notes. A tasty stick for sure, and
not for the faint of heart. For me this is a full bodied smoke. I look forward to seeing how much they will change with some age on them. by cybervee on 1/15/2009 1:03 PM (1 rated) |

Strong cigar with alot of bite. I don't recommend smoking this without eating something first. Smelled great, smoked great without dying and went perfect with my Black Label drink. by bran429 on 1/14/2009 9:24 PM (1 rated) |

| 89 | Indian Tabac - Super Fuerte Corona - Corona - 5 1/4 x 43 - Maduro
With age these become smoother and the harshness disappears. Slight hint of cocoa and nutmeg during the first third, with a strong chocolate taste during the final third. They won't be breaking the top 25 of the year (or top 100 for that matter) but for the price they make very nice yard gars. by cybervee on 1/14/2009 9:06 PM (6 rated) |

| 97 | Bolivar - Bolivar Petit Corona - Mareva - 5 1/8 x 42 - Natural
This box of Bolivars has been resting in my vinotemp for a full year so I thought I would see how they have improved over that time. The flawless wrapper looks good enough to eat. Easily lit, with a consistent, perfect draw. The volume and thickness of the smoke is unbelieveable for a Mareva size stick. This is a cigar that you want to slowly savor and enjoy to its fullest. I immediately noticed cocao and hints of coffee, which remained and grew stronger after the first third. For me the taste and smoothness of this cigars is matched only by other isoms with some age. Simply outstanding. by cybervee on 1/14/2009 8:44 PM (5 rated) |

| 90 | Nub - Cameroon Torpedo - 464 - 4 x 64 - Colorado Maduro
another of my all-time favs. ive heard knocks on these because of the large ring guage, and admit that i am not the biggest fan of larger sticks...but this being a torp, i can choose how large im going to smoke it as. i love these things first thing in the morning with coffee or at the end of a long day. either way, theyre solid, creamy smoke, relaxing, and just full of great mellowing flavor. by smh0768 on 1/14/2009 12:55 PM (1 rated) |

ive had the torpedo of these, and REALLY enjoyed it. i found, while smoking this one though, that i do not enjoy the flavor of the smaller ring-gauge 3 siglos. not bad, but seemed to get really acrid and hot when i wasnt smoking fast or drawing hard on it. meh. will stick to fatter ring-guages with these in the future. by smh0768 on 1/14/2009 12:35 PM (1 rated) |

| 91 | Puros Del Istmo de Panama - Joyas de Panama Robusto - Robusto - 5 x 50 - Natural
Scent of Wrapper:
No distinct smell
Scent at Foot:
grassy
Appearance:
The smoke looked very good. Well wrapped
Wrapper:
Nice Medium Brown coloring
Feel:
Very Firm
Ratings:
Flavor: 85 - While the flavor of the first two thirds were enjoyable, they did not stand out. It was not until I hit the subtle Currant flavor at the end that I was really wowed by it.
Construction: 98 - The construction (as you will see) was top notch. I have never had an ash remain like this one did. The only thing that kept it from being a perfect 100 was some cracking to the wrapper in the last 1 1/2". The ash held for the full length of the cigar.
Price: 90 - While I did not pay for this smoke, at $4.00, this was a great smoke.
Overall: 91
The draw seemed very tight and the cigar seemed extremely firm.
It lit up with some work.. at first it produced very little light smoke. This only lasted about 1/4" of an inch and it opened right up.
The ash remained white only for about another 1/4" of an inch and then would begin to darken. The first third was very smooth and tasted of leather.
The second third brought a very mellow and welcome change. After the leather I was hoping for something light and I got it. A very sweet wheat flavor. The smoke was beginning to increase and it was a nice aroma.
The final third, the flavor changed to a wonderful fruity Currant flavor. This remained until the end until the cigar simply got to hot to continue smoking. by sboyajian on 1/14/2009 11:01 AM (1 rated) |

| 91 | Saint Luis Rey - Saint Luis Rey Corona - A - 5 5/8 x 46 - Natural
The wrapper on these beauties is flawless, with a rich light brown hue. The box has a date code of 2001. A wonderful mellow aroma surrounds you as you smoke. I detected hints of chocolate and cinnamon from the second third which became more powerful near the nub. For what I paid I stole these. I prefer stronger sticks which affected my overall rating. If you like mild to medium isom smokes these are worth looking at. by cybervee on 1/14/2009 7:59 AM (10 rated) |

| 80 | Fonseca - 30th Anniversary Series Belicoso - Belicoso - 5 3/4 x 52 - Colorado
Pre-Smoke
Scent of Wrapper:
Woody
Scent at Foot:
More wood, perhaps slight pepper
Appearance:
The cigar looks fantastic, although had one or two decent veins in it. Nothing large enough to draw your attention to it, but noticeable.
Wrapper:
Medium to Dark brown.
Feel:
Extremely firm, had a fairly decent size soft spot about 1 1/2" to 2" in.
Ratings:
Flavor: 82 - While the flavor was not bad, it was nothing to write home about. It started with a fairly heavy wood flavor and ended with that same flavor. It had a very dry, but easy finish.
Construction: 78 - I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the cigar.. while the burn was fairly even most of the way it did require about 2 or 3 hits with the torch every inch or so to even it up. When I hit the soft spot it was extremely noticeable as the ash began to split into two.
The ash throughout most of the cigar, while perfect white, was very flaky and unforgiving. Any non-fluid movement caused most of the ash to fall off.
Price: 80. I got this cigar off CBid at a steal compared to the retail (and the MSRP) .. so for what I paid, not terribly bad, but for what others have paid, I would be very disappointed. The MSRP is $129 (CI sells for $110, I paid $61) for a box of 10.
Overall: 80

| 98 | Drew Estate - Liga Privada No.9 Belicoso - Belicoso - 6 x 52 - Oscuro
Im almost at a loss of words over this cigar. This is the third one I have had and has yet to disappoint. The wrapper was a beautiful, oily dark brown with no flaws at all. The foot gave off a rich cocoa aroma that resonated to the wrapper. The draw was perfect, not to tight nor loose. Immediately after lighting it the taste came right through. It was a very robust, may mediumfull-full bodied, smoke that was fresh as well. The retrohale proved to be the same. The only flaw in the cigar was that it slightly burned uneven but not to a degree that was complainable. Till the very end the cigar remained the same. This is easily in my Top 5 cigars due to all the elements working together. And probably one of the few cigars that are priced over $10 and worth every penny. by DBenitez on 1/12/2009 3:02 PM (1 rated) |

| 91 | Oliva - Serie V Torpedo - Torpedo - 6 x 54 - Natural
As with all torpedo cigars I started by taking a very limited amount off the end to find the perfect draw. I took just about 1/4 inch off the end and the draw was absolutely perfect. I could taste slight tones of leather and perhaps coffee (like a mocha perhaps).
I light my cigars using a torch and toasting the end. Some smokes take a lot of effort to torch but this one seemed to get going real quick.. The draw after being lit was still perfect and the smoke gave off a nice pleasant aroma (one thing I have come to love about Olivas they never smell bad). The coffee flavor seemed to get a little stronger through the first 1/3rd and I also noticed hints of spice.
Construction seemed to be top notch through the first third and held nearly 1 1/2 inches of perfect white ash. Burn was even (throughout the entire smoke).
The coffee flavor seemed to take a slight backseat in in the middle of the cigar and the spice/pepper became a bit more noticeable but only for a short bit.. until I was hit with a wonderful Chocolate flavor .. the ash was not holding as well past the first third.. would not hold more than 3/4 to 1 inch. Not bad, but still perfect white.
When all was said and done there was less than an inch left of this cigar. Definately would recommend and will definately be buying more. by sboyajian on 1/12/2009 11:16 AM (1 rated) |

| 73 | Rocky Patel - “The Edge” Toro - Toro - 6 x 52 - Maduro
I got this for free for the New Year and decided to smoke it because I had no other cigars available. The draw was a little tight but the ash was a nice white and it did not die on me. Their was flavor, just not a good one. I think I would of got more pleasure from smoking a Garcia y Vega. I would of given this one below 70, but I tend to be harsher when rating Rocky Patel cigars so this is my good samaritan act of the day. by DBenitez on 1/8/2009 5:37 PM (1 rated) |

| 83 | Hoyo de Monterrey - Hoyo de Tradicion Robusto - Epicure - 5 1/4 x 50 - EMS
This cigar apparently does not like to age. I have had this one since they came out aging and it does not have the same complexity as when you smoke it right out the box. Construction was great and never burned uneven but there was really nothing to taste. Maybe just some cedar from the humidor, that is all. by DBenitez on 1/2/2009 3:27 PM (1 rated) |

| 60 | CAO - Cx2 Toro - Toro - 6 x 54 - Colorado Maduro
The only reason this cigar is rated a 60 and not 50 is cause of the price. This cigar had a poor shaded wrapper on it , had green spots and wasnt appealing at all. Had a decent aroma lit and pre lit. The cigar burned evenly but tasted like dirt, I was displeased with this cigar about 3 inches I gave it and thre it out! by cubano on 12/27/2008 4:21 PM (1 rated) |

What can you say about RASS that has not been said before? They are consistently tasty and well made, full of chocolate and leather notes with a hint of pepper on the tongue. | 88 | Gurkha - Genghis Khan Toro - Toro - 6 x 50 - Maduro
This cigar was definatley longer than 6 inches, it was more like 7 inches by 52 ring. This cigar was almost a year aged and I have to say it was almost identical in taste to the Warlord. Burn was a little uneven but caught right back up. Smoke was thick and the ash was black and a little gray, not sure why. Cause its a long cigar it took forever to smoke but all around good cigar and will smoke again but not buy a box cause that length doesnt appeal to me. by cubano on 12/5/2008 9:29 PM (1 rated) |
